Granite City Partners LLC, a fast-paced and quickly growing firm based in Quincy, MA, is seeking Project Engineers for municipal infrastructure design and construction management assignments. The successful candidate will be an experienced engineering professional seeking long-term employment in a dynamic and client-focused office environment. The ideal candidate would be someone with a professional Civil Engineer registration, or someone on the path to attaining a registration, who is looking to grow into a design engineer with a broad range of technical experience across most segments of civil engineering.
The skills and experience required for this position include:

3. Familiarity with a broad range of technical and engineering issues related to drinking water distribution systems, sewer collection systems, stormwater and roadway systems, buried infrastructure, and real estate development challenges.
4. Technical problem-solving abilities with experience and strong interest in evaluating, planning, designing, and constructing public infrastructure.
5. Familiarity with local, state (Massachusetts), and federal regulations for infrastructure and real estate redevelopment projects, and knowledge in Massachusetts procurement laws and public bidding.
6. Familiarity with local, state (Massachusetts), and federal funding programs and applications.
7. Comfort and experience engaging with clients, regulators, residents / constituents, and contractors.
8. Experience with Architectural/Engineering, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Planning, or Construction Engineering are preferred.
9. Proficient in MS Office Suite and Revu Bluebeam and familiar with AutoCAD.
10. Minimum of 4 years of experience in design, consulting, or public construction role.
11. B.S. Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, M.S. Degree preferred.
12. Professional registrations and certifications (e.g., PE, CSL, MCPPO OPM) are a plus.
13. Experience with Architectural / Engineering or Construction firms is preferred.
14. Must have a reliable car and driver’s license for commuting to project sites daily.
What you will be doing:
1. Supporting the project’s lead engineer in the management and execution of various project tasks and assignments, preparing deliverables that move toward project goals as directed by the Partners.
2. Provide technical review and design suggestions for projects.
3. Collaborate with project teams of co-workers and stakeholders to advance the technical needs of our clients.
4. Create and deliver designs, reports and products, analyze technical data, and prepare summary reports of detailed information.
5. Review technical submittals for compliance with industry standards, project specifications, and/or client directions.
6. Travel to local areas for site review and project meetings.
7. Maintain overall understanding of existing clients and active projects.
